For the first time in my life, I woke up and went to a workspace that was not my room. Granted, it’s not far. I can still go there in my pajamas. For the next 3.5 months, until I move to Athens, Ohio for a year of cabin living, I’ve rented out an extra room for a workspace. It’s so exciting. To have the flexibility and openness to move things around, no bed in the way. I’m excited to not only work in this space but to use it as a place for co-working and teaching. Next weekend, two of my favorite photographers are coming to study video with me. I’m excited to share what I know with them and see what things they will create. I’ve also been considering the several emails I’ve gotten, people inquiring about internships… While I’m not in a place to have an ongoing internship, I have decided that I will offer a few mentorships over the summer. Mostly one-on-one but also maybe one or two seminar workshops with a small group of people. If you’re interested, please use the contact form to touch base with me. There are several different options covering the following: time management, promotion, keeping organized, preparing for a shoot, the shoot, post production, client relationships, boosting business, using social media, constructive criticism, ideation about your specific business goals, coffee/tea/snacks and a follow up conversation to be refreshed/clarify things that may gain more questions as you’re putting it into action. Ideally this will be for a budding entrepreneur who knows how to use their camera quite well already and just needs some help getting their business off the ground. You want to learn how to use your DSLR for video? That’s another area I’d love to mentor. Let’s chat! I must keep up with my other work, so I won’t spend more than one  full day of mentoring every 2 weeks. Excited to collaborate with you and watch you grow as an artist.
